If screen printing is something you have wanted to learn or have loved before, this course is perfect to throw you back into a fully equipped print making environment with the support and guidance from fully qualified print maker Dena O'Brien.

Details:
The beginners screen print course will introduce you to the true basics, tools, materials and equipment required to help get you started. Dena will support you through every step with lots of practical guidance, provide you with a range of visual outcomes and artists inspiration, to help inspire your own ideas and transform them into screen prints. You will create a range of hand printed items ranging from cards, paper prints, a cushion cover, a tea towel, a tote bag and a t-shirt. In edition to this you will learn how to mix your own unique colours, through to pulling the squeegee across a screen revealing your very own prints.

What you will do & make:
A4 Fabric Repeat Pattern onto a natural fabric panel, 50x50cm printed in 1 colour.
A4 Paper Printing creating a 2 colour separation, x 6 prints.
10x10cm Silk Screen Monotypes creating a unique set of cards x 12
(including envelops)
A4 Emulsion Screen Printing learning how to edit a design, expose to a screen and print in 1 colour onto an option of a t-shirt, tote bag or tea towel.

Spaces: The course is limited to 8 persons to ensure all participants are provided
with support and plenty of spaces to create.

What to bring: Cold snacks, water, old shirt or apron, pencil, pen and any visual ideas such as sketches, magazine cut outs, online links, artists or photographs.

Parking: Free parking outside the studio
