I came to Dena with a seed of an idea and she helped me bring that into realisation. She was there with concrete methods to get out of a funk if I felt stuck and to encourage me but step back when I felt in the flow. She has such a wealth of knowledge and expertise and really wants to see her students thrive and become successful, and she will be a champion in helping them achieve that. The studio is a beautiful, light and airy place to come and create and just being there sparks ideas, and Dena has all the equipment and know-how to tweak and perfect your techniques. Having already done a BA in Illustration and an MA in Photography, I found Dena offers a far more bespoke mentoring experience than a larger course and you will feel that she will support your ideas and goals and help to bring them into fruition in any way she can. I highly recommend Dena and the space at Kiwi Print Studio as a calm and well-equipped space of inspiration and creation.'

I blame Dena for my habit. It took one casual meeting with Dena of Kiwi Print Studio and I was hooked on screen printing. Six years later I’ve graduated through the softer stuff and am about to mainline with an art degree course as a mature student. My advice is, if you don’t want to completely love something new, that challenges your creativity, just say no!!! On the other hand, Dena is the single best and most loyal teacher I’ve ever had and I’ll recommend her to anyone thinking about trying screen printing. Just don’t be surprised if you get addicted.

Dena provides a welcome and supporting environment in her well-equipped studio.  Over the course of my mentoring, she helped me hone and develop my style and master printing techniques, as well as equipping me with the tools needed to keep progressing my work myself.  Dena gave me invaluable advice on selling, marketing, and promoting myself and my prints.  I now have work stocked in galleries across Cornwall, sell at markets and fairs and am about to have my first exhibition.  All of which would not be happening if I hadn’t had mentoring with Dena!
