How to book: Select a date below, email Dena via the contact page, Dena will confirm availability and have you booked in and then you can purchase your workshop. If these dates don't work for you let Dena know and she will do her best to offer alternatives.

Join experienced printmaker Dena in her studio for a private one to one screen printing workshop learning how to print onto fabric. Screen printing with paper stencils is a brilliant starting point for anyone wanting to try something totally new, refresh past screen printing skills and continue the experience at home.

The studio is a wonderful spacious and welcoming environment where you can relax and enjoy the experience. This session is a private class for one, so can be tailored to suit your requirements, whether you are totally new to screen printing or would like to refresh your skills and try new techniques. Dena will guide you through the whole process with hands on practical demonstrations. You will learn about the equipment needed to screen print, review visual examples of screen prints & artists through to discussing ideas.

After making some test prints to get a feel for the process, you will start to plan and draw your own design using a light box, scissors and a craft knife to make paper stencils, ready to print a design onto an option of a tote bag, tea towel, or piece of fabric. Additional items can be bought on the day or you can bring your own materials if you want to practice more as time allows (100% cotton, light-coloured fabric is best). There will be plenty of time to experiment and pick and choose colours from the studio collection or even mix your own inks. All inks are water-based.

Bookings: Email us your preferred dates and times. Once we confirm a date and time you can follow the payment process to secure your one to one booking.

What to bring: Cold snacks, water, old shirt or apron, pencil, pen and any visual ideas such as sketches, magazine cut outs, online links, artists or photographs.

Parking: Free parking outside the studio

An information email with the studio address and other details will be sent out one week before the workshop date :)
